Logo Design • Rebrand • Banner Design
The Devon, Alberta chapter of Communities in Bloom (CiB) was seeking a new logo design to distinguish itself from other CiB chapters across Canada. While it’s common for communities to attach their name to the national CiB logo, some opt for a new design that better expresses the local culture.
Devon’s team wanted the logo to address a specific challenge: people not knowing the full extent of what Communities in Bloom represents. It’s not just about flower beds; CiB speaks to sustainability, preservation, culture, and good design.
This logo aims to capture the bigger picture. A simple monoline shape looks both like a tree and a leaf, and the rainbow mosaic conveys vitality as well as the change of seasons in nature. The monochrome version is useful for one-colour designs and creates a striking silhouette that would be easy to recognize.
The new Devon CiB logo was applied to various collateral, including a pop-up banner and community profile report.
